Preparing your local time card…

A CLEAR RECORD OF YOUR TIME

From daily shifts to a week you can check.

Start with a date, enter clock-in and clock-out times, and subtract unpaid breaks. Mallow Hours keeps the arithmetic in whole minutes so rounded decimal hours never accumulate into a different weekly total.

1. Enter your actual shifts

Use a second shift for a split day. Mark Ends next day for an overnight shift. An empty day stays empty; incomplete shifts are flagged instead of silently counted as zero.

2. Review the whole period

Check daily and weekly totals. Optional overtime uses the threshold you enter for each seven-day block. It does not infer your employer’s rules or local employment law.

3. Keep next week simple

Save explicitly, export a backup, then copy your schedule into the next period. CSV works with spreadsheets; Print opens your browser’s print dialog, where Save as PDF may be available.

A worked example

09:00 to 17:00 is 8 hours. Subtract a 30-minute unpaid lunch: 7h 30m, or 7.50 decimal hours. Five identical days total 37h 30m, not 37.30 hours. Try the example in the calculator and compare the result.

Understand the calculation

Questions before you save

Is this a clock-in tracker or payroll system?

No. Enter recorded times yourself. There is no live attendance tracking, payroll filing, tax calculation or employee monitoring. Estimated pay is a convenience based on your own inputs.

Does daylight saving time change the result?

Not automatically. The calculator subtracts clock-face times. If an actual shift crosses a daylight saving change, use the manual adjustment and record why. Check the real elapsed time before exporting.

Where are my cards stored?

Only in this browser on this site after you press Save. There is no account or automatic cloud sync. Browser cleanup, private browsing or device loss can remove local data, so export a JSON backup for important records.

How are overnight hours assigned?

The entire shift belongs to its start date, even at a week boundary. Overlap checks still compare the shift with the following day. If your reporting rules split hours at midnight, enter separate shifts on the appropriate dates.

Can I use the result in an invoice?

Copy the decimal hours and paste them into Mallow Invoice. No time-card data is transferred automatically.
